Why it's here

Surfaced by the SGR-mouse search; two transferable findings: Terminal.app never negotiates SGR 1006 (legacy fallback required), and reads must split on mouse-report boundaries or bursts get cut mid-report and type garbage — tai's input reader buffers incomplete reports instead of parsing partial reads.
